Great man Great Friend
Jerome was a calm port in a sea of life’s turmoil. He had more than his share of stress from all sides.
His father died young, and he assumed the role of the patriarch of his big crazy, loving Italian family.
Even though he had a young family of his own he assumed the role of surrogate father and grandfather for the whole family as required. He helped his widowed mother and held the family together. He handled these added responsibilities in his life calmly and logically.
When I married his sister Lynn and joined the clan, he taught me many things about life, family, marriage, children, and business. He became a father figure to my wife and a grandfather when my children came along. For all these things and many more I’ll be eternally grateful.
Though small in stature he a was giant in the eyes of those who relied on him.
I hope he understood how much his advice and intellect impacted more than just his immediate family. His wisdom, calm, generosity, and genuine warmth shined through to everyone who interacted with him.
Deepest sympathy to Jay and all the DePaul family on the sad passing of your father. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Hello Jerome,
We never met. I am a colleague with your son Jay and want to tell you that he is a great guy, a reliable and solid leader, has a lot of empathy and patience with and for his co-workers and is very results oriented. He makes such a difference in the world. I thought you should know. My condolences to your family. Alan

Pop pop was the sweetest soul, we will forever miss his calming presence and huge heart. He cared for his family more than anything in the world and will forever be a man we honor and look up to. I have never and will never meet a man as perfect as our pop pop. He taught us true dedication and loyalty and a day won’t go by where we don’t think of him. He was taken from us too soon. I have no doubt that he will watch over us, guard us and protect us. I love you pups.
Jay - I am deeply sorry for your loss.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Thank you for the good memories you gave and of those years you were in our lives. Rest in peace.

To Sue and the entire DePaul family,
Even though a man of few words, he was big of heart, especially for his family.
So many memories of parties and celebrations, where his smile showed his pride in his family, especially his grandchildren. My (and his) granddaughters are crushed at his passing, which breaks my heart. They truly knew their pop pop and loved him deeply. He will me more than missed and forever remembered and never forgot.
