Joseph F. Fonash

Joseph F. Fonash of Furlong, PA died peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family on Saturday, March 6, 2021, after a brave battle with cancer.  He was 69.

Born in Philadelphia, Joseph was the beloved husband of 43 years to Christina Kiley Fonash and the son of the late Jack and Jean (Breslin) Fonash.

Joseph was a very hardworking man who was deeply devoted and faithful to God and to his family.  The love he projected and hard work ethic he instilled inspired those around him. He enjoyed spending time bowling, fishing, hosting and attending large family gatherings, but he cherished the times he spent with his children and grandchildren most.  Joseph will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have been in his life and loved by him.

In addition to his devoted wife Christina, Joseph is survived by his loving children: Meghan Fonash of Doylestown, Joseph E. Fonash and his wife Amanda of Philadelphia, Colleen Check and her husband Daniel of Doylestown, Lauren Fonash of Denver, CO, and Matthew P. Fonash of Doylestown.  He is also survived by his ten dear grandchildren: Keira, Bridgette, London, Carly, Johnny, Jack, Everett, Matthew, Kaylee, and Joey, his brother Al Fonash (Joanne), his sisters Jackie Arrow (John), Jean Denard (Tim), Maureen Zubak (Kurt), Eileen Fonash, and Kathy Warren (Gary), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph’s family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
