Joseph F. Kilroy, Jr.

Services for Joseph F. Kilroy have been scheduled and the updated information is below:

Joseph F. Kilroy of Holland died unexpectedly on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his home. He was 74 years of age.

He was the loving husband of Elizabeth A. “Betty Anne” Gordon Kilroy. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children: Colleen Vassallo and her husband, Brian, of Southampton; Michael Kilroy and his wife, Heather, of Warminster; Joseph Kilroy of Holland; Gregory Kilroy and his wife, Kim, of Stewartsville, NJ; Matthew Kilroy and his wife, Taura, of Chalfont. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren: Seamus, Brady, Patrick, Aurora, Nolan, Declan, and Emma.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Margaret “Peggy” Culleton Kilroy, and the brother of the late Frank and Kathleen Kilroy. A member of St. Bede’s Parish in Holland, PA, Joe spent his youth as a member of St. Anne’s Parish in Philadelphia and attended grammar school there before going on to North Catholic High School, where in 1991 he was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He was a graduate of Villanova University and obtained his Master’s Degree at Drexel University. He led a long career as a Certified Public Accountant and rose to the role of Managing Partner with KMG Main Hurdman. Eventually, he moved on to private industry.

Those that knew him well would tell you that Joe was truly a force to be reckoned with. He was determined, generous, stubborn, proud, and an “only the strong survive” kind of thinker. Joe was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Villanova Wildcats Basketball. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family at Christmas, vacations to Disney World, and doting on his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him, including his brothers and sisters- in law, and his many nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:30am, with funeral mass following immediately at St. Anne’s Church, 2328 E. Lehigh Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125. His interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
