Leo "Bart" Barton Reitter

Leo Barton Reitter (Bart), died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday evening, May 21, 2022. He was 77 years old. Bart was born in Philadelphia on July 9,1944, the third of four children to Stephen and Madeline Percival Reitter. He graduated from Northeast High School and proudly served in the United States Airforce from 1963-1967. He was stationed at Da Nang Air Base during the Vietnam War from 1966-1967. After returning from Vietnam, he began a career in sales and eventually ascended to the role of President of Cobra Wire and Cable from which he retired in 2011. He lived most of his life in Bucks County. Many great memories were made at the Carriage House in Feasterville, at their shore house in Ocean City and with his children and grandchildren at their home in Warrington.

Bart was the beloved husband of Lynn Hamilton Reitter, and they spent many years traveling the world with friends and family. He was blessed with lifelong friendships among a tight knit group of high school pals and many stories were created from hunting trips, poker games, fishing excursions, golf outings and an annual Oktoberfest boy’s getaway. His ultimate happiness came from being a father, a husband and mostly a Pop Pop.

Bart was predeceased by his first wife Linda Susan Reitter and brothers Charles and Stephen Reitter.

He is survived by his wife Lynn and will be missed by his children, Bart Reitter Jr., and his wife Jeanine, and Christine Clark and her husband Stephen; his stepchildren, Courtenay Duffy and her husband Kevin, and Chet Sandt; and his grandchildren Stephen and Isabella Clark, Caroline and Katherine Reitter and Jack and Nate Duffy. He is also survived by his sister Madeline Reitter-Verity and her husband, Richard.
