Janet W. Murphy (Fagnani)

Janet Murphy (nee Fagnani) of Souderton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 27, 2022, with her family by her side. Janet's comic nature never deserted her—even in her final days, she was still making them laugh.

Janet was born on January 5, 1943, in Tuckahoe, New York, to Nicholas and Hazel (Pritchard) Fagnani. She also lived for many years in Danbury, Connecticut, and Perkasie, Pennsylvania. Janet will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Lee Pierce (Michael), Lauren Kulp (Marty Nicholas) and Erin Murphy (Jack Galada), as well as her grandchildren, Allison, Matthew and Olivia. Janet was blessed with a sister, Merry Fiorentini, whose loyalty and humor were constant through good times and bad, as well as Merry’s husband John and children John Paul and Gianna.

Janet loved family vacations on Cape Cod, travel adventures around Europe and the Pacific Northwest, and trips to Lake Wallenpaupack. She appreciated the simple things, like children, Italian food, crime shows, old movies, romance novels, chocolate, a glass of wine, her cup of coffee, and decorating for Christmas. Janet also took pride in working hard. While working at Delbar Products, she spent decades bartending at Perkasie Owls Club. She valued her friendships at the Owls and enjoyed doing charity work in the Ladies Auxiliary.

At Janet’s request, no public services will be held. Please consider making a donation of any size in Janet’s memory to the Grand View Health Foundation ( https://www.gvh.org/online-donations/ ), an organization that was a great help to her as a 25-year survivor of breast cancer.
