Richard E. Eble

Richard E. Eble of Furlong, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 85.

Richard was the beloved husband of 65 years to Jean M. Salisbury Eble.

Born in Newark, NJ he was the son of the late Edward L. and Kathryn C. Neiderer Eble.

He grew up in Nutley, NJ and then moved to Furlong, PA where he lived for 52 years.

In addition to his beloved wife Jean, Richard is survived by his loving and devoted children; Judith Yard and her husband Donald of Warminster, PA, Richard L. Eble and his wife Kim of Green Lane, PA, Dennis M. Eble and his wife Melody of Doylestown, PA, Jenny Bercik of Doylestown, PA, and Jodi Fechtmann and her husband Peter of Fountainville, PA. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren; Dustin, Douglas, Casey, Kathryn, Rikki, William, Leah, Christopher, Steven E., Steven B., Aiden, Karinna, and Connor, and 5 great grandchildren; Lily, Austin, Ruth, Paxton, and Raegan.

Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 in Fort Huachuca, AZ as a Signal Core Specialist. He retired after working 39 years at Prudential Insurance Company.

He spent his retirement coaching and attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers sports fan.

Richard’s family will receive friends on Friday Evening, June 24, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00PM and again on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Service 12 Noon in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
