Louis F. Piccione

Louis F. Piccione of Doylestown passed away suddenly on July 23, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital of a heart attack. He was 58 years old.

Born in South Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of 34 years to Laurie A. Russell Piccione. He is the proud son of Louis “Pop” and Elizabeth “Betty” Salvagno Piccione of New Smyrna Beach, FL.

In addition to his beloved wife Laurie, Lou is survived by his daughter, Rachel A. Porco and her husband Alec of Washington, PA and his son Alexander J. Piccione and his fiancé Lhizsamae Tolentino of Conshohocken, PA, and his sister Judith A. Degenfelder and her husband Chuck of Farmington Hills, MI.

Lou graduated in 1981 from Saline High School in Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan where he received his undergraduate degree in 1985. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in 1990 from Eastern Michigan University.

For the past 14 years, Lou has been working as an executive at UPS in their international logistics division. Lou was a lifelong fan of hockey, both as a coach and a player. He coached and inspired his athletes at all levels, from travel teams to the University level at Villanova.

Lou was a selfless and dedicated individual who prioritized family and friends above all else in this world. He would show his love in various ways. One of his most infamous was through his final-finals. His enthusiasm did not end at becoming an expert bartender but continued onto the pickleball court. Louis has a wide network of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
