Alice S. Derr (Kalinowski)

Alice Stella (Kalinowski) Derr died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Rose Gardens, Ann’s Choice in Warminster, PA. Alice was 86 years old.

Alice was the beloved wife of Robert A Derr Sr. for 62 plus, years. The couple shared many years of friendship, love, family, and good memories.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, April 24, 1936, Alice was the daughter of the late Zigmund and Stella (Gryczka) Kalinowski, sister to the late Leonard Kalinowski of Bensalem and survived by her brother Edward Kalinowski of Leroy.

Alice grew up in Wilkes Barre, PA attending school and spending much time with family that has a proud Polish heritage. Alice moved to Bucks County after accepting a job at Bell Telephone.  Alice also held several different part-time positions while raising 4 children at home.  Some of those being The Burlington County Times, The Rancocas Valley Hospital, and caretaker for several small children during the day.  Alice enjoyed travelling, had a passion for cooking and attending the children’s various sports and scouting events. 

In addition to her husband Robert, Alice will be missed by her children, Robert A Derr Jr., Kathleen Tavani (Frederick), Lisa Marie Huntzinger and James M. Derr; her grandchildren Ashley and Courtney and her seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Alice will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place in Memphis, TN 38105.
