Jeffrey T. Kurchinsky

Jeffrey T. Kurchinsky of Chalfont, PA died peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 59 years old.  He was the beloved husband of 31 years to Moira Merritt Kurchinsky of Philadelphia. Born in Shenandoah Heights, PA he was the son of Thomas D. Kurchinsky of Warminster and the late Shirley Stauffer Kurchinsky.

Jeff attended Longstreth Elementary School, Log College Middle School, and William Tennant High School, Class of 1981 in Warminster, PA.  He was a member of the William Tennant High School baseball team and the 1980 championship varsity football team.

Jeff was a selfless and extremely humble man with a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.  He appreciated the outdoors and was an avid runner. He was an automotive enthusiast, a history buff, and a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan.  He was well known for his famous mystery cocktails, his knowledge of extremely cheap and unknown beers and his habit of using every known spice to man on whatever he was eating.

In addition to his beloved wife Moira, Jeff is survived by his loving children, Thomas J. Kurchinsky of Chalfont and Rachel A. Kurchinsky of Chalfont, his father Thomas and his sister Pamela Ryba (John) of Schwenksville, PA. He is also survived by five brothers-in-law and their wives, John and Gina Merritt of Philadelphia, William and Jennifer Geere of Willow Grove, Richard and Elizabeth Praul of Warminster, Edward and Amanda Merritt of Chalfont, and Joseph and Alexis Merritt of Annapolis, MD.  Jeff will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews – Olivia and Matthew Ryba; John, Michael, Theresa, and Bridget Merritt; Billy, Rob, Bryan, and Brandon Geere; Steven Merritt; Andrew, Patrick, Joseph, and Emily Praul; Hailey, Eddie, Madelyn, and Alaina Merritt; Aiden and Ellie Merritt.

Jeffrey’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday evening, August 9, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and on Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022 in St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  His interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery.
