Robert W. Fuller

Robert W. Fuller of Doylestown died peacefully on August 19, 2022 with the spirit of his family guiding his way to heaven. He was 91.

Born in Camden, NJ, he was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Newhouse for the past 18 years and was pre-deceased by his wife of 40 years, Marguerite McNamee Fuller, in 2003. Devoted son of the late John and Mary Fuller.

Proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War and then built his professional accounting career after earning his business degree.  He retired from Pennwalt Corporation in 1990 as the Chief Financial Officer for the Sharples Stokes Division.

Bob, as he was known to family and friends, was a gifted athlete and competed in football, basketball, fencing and volleyball. He was dedicated to physical fitness his entire life and he swam, rode his bike and did Hatha yoga daily for more than 50 years.

Bob gave his time, talent and treasure to Nativity of Our Lord Church, Warminster. He coached several Nativity basketball teams, he donated countless hours to the Parish Finance council, assisting with counting the weekly collections and he also served on the Board of Directors for the Hatboro YMCA. 

Bob is survived by his children, John Fuller and his wife Brenda; Elizabeth Fuller Smith and her husband Andrew; Mary Catherine Fuller Stein and her husband Matthew; Robert Fuller; and Robin Fuller Hildwein. The proud grandfather of Neil, Gwen, Kate, Maggie, Ryan, Christopher, Eric and TJ.  Mary Ann’s children, Jennifer Newhouse Nolan and her husband John, Jacqueline Newhouse-Bitsko and her husband Tom, and Carol Newhouse Townsend, also survive him.

Bob is also survived by his sister, Norma Fuller Withsosky and his brother John Fuller and sister-in-law Joyce Fuller.  Scores of nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Bob’s family on August 30, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and again on August 31, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 East State St. Doylestown, PA 18901 from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. Contributions in his memory may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
