Clairemarie Caffrey

Clairemarie Caffrey, 67, of Doylestown, passed away suddenly Monday, August 29, 2022, after a brief illness.

Born February 19, 1955, in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late John and Claire (Curley) Caffrey.

Clairemarie grew up in Horsham and attended Archbishop Wood High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at LaSalle University. As a social worker for more than 40 years, she served community members at the most difficult times in their lives. Clairemarie retired from Doylestown Hospital.

An avid traveler, Clairemarie was truly in her element on a cruise ship with family and friends. At home she enjoyed reading and crafts.

Survivors include five cousins: Thomas Kupp, Cathy Caffrey, Marianne Mahon (John), Michael Kupp (Linda), and Lee Caffrey (Lisa); and her beloved feline companion, Gus.

Clairemarie was preceded in death by a cousin, Jimmy, and a cousin-in-law, Jane Kupp.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain. Interment will be held privately.
