Bentley G. Baker Sr.

Bentley G. Baker, Sr., beloved husband of Marie T. Zeiger Baker for the past 16 years, passed away on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at Deer Meadows in Philadelphia. He was 97 years young.

Ben was born in Chicago, Ill. He was the eldest son of the late Bentley J. Baker and Margaret Danek Baker. Ben was pre-deceased by his former wives, Catherine, Eleanor and Grace, his grandson, Aaron Frederik, and his siblings Edward, Margaret, Dolores, Genevieve, Judy and Dorothy.

Ben’s professional career spanned many years as an electronic technician, manager and successful business owner.  He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII on a refueling tanker. He was an active parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Philadelphia; He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 3932  

In addition to his beloved wife Marie, Ben is survived by his children, Bentley G. Baker, Jr., (wife Mary), Kathleen Jaskowiak (husband Robert), Daniel J. Baker (wife Annette), Maryjane Schuh (husband Steven), Joseph Baker (wife Sherri) and Annemarie Kammler (husband David). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his 2 brothers, Joseph Baker (wife Evelyn), Richard Baker (spouse Michael McConnell), and sister Katherine Boss.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Ben’s family on Wednesday September 28, 2022 from 9:30 am until his 10:30am Funeral Mass at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church 8100 Colfax St. Philadelphia. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Adrian Dominican Sisters, 1257 E Siena Heights Dr.  Adrian Mi. 49221.
