Mary T. Kildea

Mary T. Kildea of Newtown, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Pickering Manor. She was 83.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James and Marie Kildea.

Mary grew up in Southwest Philadelphia.  In her late teens her father, James, who worked for Gulf Oil, was transferred to Venezuela.  She lived there with her family for two years.  Upon her return to the United States, she lived and worked in Southwest Philadelphia where she was a bookkeeper for General Electric.  Mary and her family moved to Blackwood, New Jersey in 1982 where she worked as a bookkeeper for Langston Steele until she retired.

Mary was an active member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, where she was on the Altar and Rosary Guild and partook in many of the church activities. Mary also enjoyed the time she spent with her family in Villas, New Jersey.

Mary loved to needlepoint.  She often made gifts for family and friends.  Her last needlepoint won 1st place in the Wrightstown Grange Fair.

Mary is survived by her friends, Ellie Horan, Cara Nothum, Lindsay Strosnider, and Michael Horan. Mary is also predeceased by her brother, James and sister, Anne.

Mary’s family will have a graveside service on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:00am at the Calvary Cemetery, 235 E Matsonford Rd, Conshohocken, PA 19428 with interment to take place immediately following the service.
