Tamara Scott

Tamara Michele Scott, 59, of Newtown, unexpectedly passed away Friday, January 6, 2023.

Born on Sunday morning October 27, 1963 in San Francisco, CA, she was the daughter of Carrie Scott, raised by her mother and with Barry Scott when her mother remarried.

She lived with her mother and brother in Redding, California where she learned to water and snow ski beginning at the age of three. At the age of 6, she and her mother and brother moved to the San Francisco Bay area where she attended elementary and junior high, graduating from Monta Vista High. She was a gymnast and earned a partial scholarship to college where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State.

She eventually owned a home near her mother and father and a house on the Delta where she loved inviting family and friends for a day of water skiing.

She and her mother often travelled together including a wonderful European vacation sailing to different countries and then spending a week in Turkey.

While living in the Bay Area, she worked for Google, Oracle, Sun Micro Systems.  When she relocated to Newtown with her son Jaden, she worked at Epicor Software Corporation.

Along with her parents, Tamara is survived by her son Jaden Kevin Devlin, several aunts, uncles and cousins in California, Oregon, Washington and Pennsylvania.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Simmons Scott.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 with a memorial service beginning at 4:00 pm.  Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro. Interment will be held privately.

Contributions in Tamara’s name can be made to charity of your choosing.
