Robert J. Jolly Sr.

Robert J. Jolly, Sr., 75, of Jamison, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Margaret M. (Shay) Jolly.

Born March 31, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mildred (Smith) Jolly.

After graduating from Villanova University, he was a teacher for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia catholic schools.  He also instructed the students in forensics debates and acting.  Robert spent countless years directing students in plays at various schools.  He went on to work for the PA Liquor Control Board as a Senior Real-estate agent for over 30 years.  He was an avid Civil War buff who studied to be a guide in Gettysburg National Park.  Robert spent his retirement years visiting civil war battle fields and he enjoyed researching and acquiring Catholic relics which he shared with his parish and family.

Along with his wife, Margaret, Robert is survived by a son, Robert J. Jolly, Jr. (Crissi) of Doylestown; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Paige, Thomas, and Tyler.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse  Road, Jamison. Interment will be held privately.
