Charlotte "Jean" Boyes

Charlotte ‘Jean’ Dawson Boyes, formerly of Wilmington, DE and Forked River, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was the beloved wife to the late Anthony Wayne Boyes.

Jean was born on January 7, 1936 in Oswego, NY to the late John Dawson and Ruth Nogar Dawson Bickhart.

Jean had a big heart and always looked for ways to help others behind the scenes.  She would use her skills and passion of sewing and crafting to make gifts for others or that could be auctioned for charities.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing on the Barnegat Bay, and boating along the intercostal waterway with friends and her husband Wayne, the love of her life.  Jean also loved traveling to warm climates and had an open heart for all dogs.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bonsall and her husband Jeff of Chalfont; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons James Boyes, Michael Boyes and William Boyes; her grandson Jordan Boyes, step-father, Charles ‘Charlie’ Bickhart; sister, Donna Soult; step-brother, Charles ‘Bick’ Bickhart.

Jean’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service at 11:00am. Interment will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean’s memory can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
