John "Jack" J. Davis Sr.

John J. “Jack” Davis, Sr., of Churchville, formerly of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband to Lorraine (Skotarczak) Davis and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September.
Jack was born on March 11, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late John G. and Anna Fiedler Davis.
Jack was a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys (Class of 1966). He honorably served the U.S Army for 3 three years and attained the rank of sergeant. Once Jack returned to civilian life, he worked as a cable splicer for forty years until his retirement from Verizon. Jack was happiest when he was with his family, especially his grandsons, and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Along with his wife Lorraine, Jack is survived by his children: Lori Anne Degnan and her husband Brian of Churchville, John J. Davis, Jr. and his wife Christin of Pennsauken, NJ; 2 grandchildren, Logan and Connor Degnan; sister Anna Furphy and her husband Joseph as well as an uncle to many nieces and Nephews. Jack loved and was loved by many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Jack’s family on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 10:30am until his funeral mass at 12:00pm at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Interment with military honors to follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
