Rose L. (Mercadante) Santulli 1933 – 2023

 

After a full and blessed life, Rose L. Santulli of Doylestown, Pennsylvania passed away on May 11, 2023 at the age of 89.  Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Rose was born December 13, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY and is a 1951 graduate of New Utrecht Girls High School (Brooklyn, NY) and attended Hunter College (New York, NY). After growing up in Brooklyn, she raised her family in Brentwood, NY and King of Prussia, PA. After her husband’s retirement, they lived in Souderton, PA and Harleysville, PA.   She had an extraordinary marriage of over 66 years, a large loving family, was an outstanding cook (especially anything Italian), loved to garden, was an avid reader, had an extensive collection of ducks and butter dishes, and loved to travel, especially to Cape May, Florida, and anywhere her children and grandchildren resided.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William J. Santulli, her parents Dominic Mercadante and Emily Capucci Mercadante and her brother Nicholas Mercadante.

Rose was a loving mother to six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, William P. Santulli (Elizabeth) of Hinsdale, IL, Randall J. Santulli (Kimberly) of Larkspur, CO, Cynthia A. Balceniuk (Edward) of Doylestown, PA, Michele E. Capone (Steven) of Long Valley, NJ, Glenn D. Santulli (Mary) of Havertown, PA and Gregory P. Santulli (Lori) of Whitestone, NY, her grandchildren Kendall (Patrick), Samantha (Robb), Peter, Matthew, Anna, Bradley, Christopher (Becca), Nicholas, Zachary, Andrew (Jennifer), Kristy (Ralf), Mark (Lindsay), Stephanie (Clint), Daniel (Heather), Rachel, Alyssa, Drew (Anna), Seth, Glenn, Meghan (Christopher), Eric, Abbey, Emma, SaraBeth and Samantha, and great-grandchildren Madeline, William, Maeve, Henry, Jack, Ruby, Jackson, Charlotte, Caroline, Matthew, Ella, Aubree, Molly, Lily, Emma, Grace, Isabel, Thomas, Oliver, Owen, Cambria, Gabriella and Luca.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. A second visitation will take place on Friday, May 19, 2023, at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, PA 19440 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am. Her interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
