Marie E Coyle (Gillard)

Marie E. Coyle of Warminster died peacefully on Friday May 12, 2023 at Abington Jefferson Hospital, Abington. She was in her 90th year.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of the late John J. Coyle and daughter of the late Anthony and Veronica Covaleski Gillard and loving mother of the late William M. and John Coyle and sister of the late Patricia Heisse.

Marie was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, class of 1950. She was a resident of Bucks County most of her life. She was a communicant of both St. Joseph’s in Warrington and for the past many years at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Warrington.

Marie started her professional career as a secretary at Johnsville Naval Air Development Center, Warminster in the mid 1970’s. Through hard work and motivation and a desire to advance to Logistics Specialists, a position she held for many years before her retirement in 1996.

A mother of five children, she and her late husband provided a loving and warm home life with family parties.  Marie was a doting grandmother who loved going to all the sporting events she could, especially those associated with Archbishop Wood H. S. and the Warrington Swim Team, where her children excelled.  She loved her Phillies and Eagles and had no problem wearing the colors of both teams. Marie had a wealth of knowledge when it came to politics, she was tech savvy and could be found spreading information on twitter and face book. To say that she was informed was an understatement.

Marie is survived by her three daughters, Marie Schwartz and her husband Mark, Suzanne E. Coyle, and Judith Logan and her partner Frederick Baxter. Her daughters-in-law Celeste Coyle and Diane Coyle Hewitt also survive her. Marie was the proud of her 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Marie’s family will receive condolences on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:30 am  at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 856 Euclid Ave. Warrington. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. PA.
