Rudolph E. Tafel

Rudolph E. Tafel of Feasterville, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 24, 2023. He was 99.

Rudolph was born in 1924 to the late Rev. Leonard and Gertrude (Hommen) Tafel in Boston, Massachusetts. He proudly served our country in the United Sates Army with the 104th Division, Timberwolves. Rudolph attended Temple University where he received his Masters Degree and where he met his lovely wife Ruth of 75 years. He furthered his career in the educational field and was the Principal of Benjamin Rush Elementary School as well as the Belmont Hills Elementary School in Bensalem. Rudolph had many varied interests and hobbies which included gardening, bowling, Philadelphia sports and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Tafel (nee Ovelman); devoted father of Cyndi Rohland and her husband David, Gail Guertin and her husband Wayne and David Tafel and his wife Linda; cherished grandfather to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 30th from 10am-11am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA. A funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley with honors.
