Carl F. Petzold

Carl F. Petzold formerly of Holland, PA died peacefully at St. Mary Medical Center on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  He was 96.

Born in Philadelphia, PA Carl was the beloved husband of the late Joan L. Reichart Petzold and the son of the late Emil and Elsie Redemann Petzold.

Carl was a proud veteran of the Navy who served our country during World War II.

Carl loved the Phillies and Eagles, never missing a game.  He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife Joan of 67 years.  He liked all animals with a special love for dogs.  Carl was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #19 and #312 for over 75 years.  The retiree meetings were always a favorite of Carl’s as he got to spend time with old friends.   Carl also enjoyed carpentry, making various items for family and friends.  Carl will be missed by all.

Carl is survived by his loving and devoted sons,Carl L. Petzold and his wife Patricia of Schuylkill Haven, Michael Petzold and his wife Karen of Levittown, James Petzold and his wife Mary Kay of Perkasie, and Christopher Petzold and his wife Kathy Liss of Upper Southampton.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:30AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966.  His interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Officer David M. Petzold Memorial Foundation, PO Box 223 Center Valley, PA 18034.
