Walter Baran Jr.

Walter Baran Jr. of Chalfont formerly of Hatboro died peacefully on Sunday Sept. 3, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. He was 66.

Walt as his family and friends knew him was born in Philadelphia and has been married to his sweet heart AnnaMarie Hill-Baran for the past 35 years.

Son of the late Walter Baran Sr. and Margaret Greenfield Baran and brother of Loretta Baran.

Walt was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1973. After graduating Walt entered the U S Army, he deployed to Hawaii were he used his background in mechanics. He was in charge of rehabbing Helicopters and educating his team on how to rebuild and get them flying. After he served his tour of duty, he went to work with his father-in-law assisting in every aspect of the business, Hill’s Cleaners in Warrington, which is still operating today. Being an enterprising person Walt took his mechanical skills and opened Baran’s Auto Repair in 2004 in New Britain, and operated that until 2014 when he became ill with Parkinson’s.

Walt was a devoted family man. He loved his wife and daughters but his grandchildren were his joy. He was also an extraordinary caregiver and friend to his brother-in-law Matt Hill.
