Elsie Marie Reedy (Esswein)

Elsie Marie Esswein Reedy, of Chalfont, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Pathways in Warrington. She had recently celebrated her 92 birthday.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Elsie was the daughter of the late Anton and Elizabeth Francesca Schmid Esswein. She is also the beloved wife of Frank A Roeder, as well as George W Reedy. Elsie was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Donald J. Dunning.

Elsie loved to dance to the big band sounds when she was younger. She had a sense of humor that everything loved but sometimes embarrassed her children. She enjoyed baking on the weekends and going out to eat.

Elsie will be missed and remembered by her children, Elizabeth Anne Cook and her husband Ronnie, Dorothy M Dunning, Susan F Leonard and her husband Robert “Chuck”, Frank Roeder and his wife Maryann, and Theresa Bianco and her husband Anthony “Tony”. Elsie is also survived by 15 loving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Elsie’s family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 10:30 AM, until the start of her Funeral Mass, 11:30 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, located at 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA 18976.

Interment will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
