Rita Schweidler (Hildenbrandt)

Rita Schweidler (Hildenbrandt), of Warminster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023. She was 85 years old. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Fred Schweidler for 60 years before his passing.

Rita was born in Floh-Seligenthal Germany. Rita and Fred came to America in 1965.  Rita was well known for her outgoing nature, grit and determination. Rita always loved to interact with people and did so in many ways from selling dollhouses in the 1980’s to countless food and product demonstrations at local supermarkets in the 1990’s and early 2000s. Even today, it is hard to go into a local supermarket where Rita wasn’t known and admired by everyone she met.

Rita was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her sons and daughters-in-law, Olaf and Christine Schweidler and Glenn and Albina Schweidler and her grandchildren, Anna, Lucas, Jack, Caroline, Owen and Erica, will miss her tremendously.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 9:30am until her Prayer Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.

Contributions in Rita’s name may be made to Jefferson-Weinberg ALS Center, Vicki and Jack Farber Institute of Neuroscience at Jefferson, 900 Walnut Street., 4th FL., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
