Mildred M. Ensinger (Cromwell)

Mildred M. Cromwell Ensinger, of Drums, PA passed away Friday, September 15, 2023. She was 96 years old.

Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Ensinger; the mother of the late Stephen L. Ensinger and the grandmother of the late Stephen J. Ensinger.

Born on September 12, 1927 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Marion Sisti Cromwell.

Mildred was a 1945 graduate of John H. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. She subsequently received her Associate of Arts Degree from Bucks County Community College in 1989.  She was a talented vocalist who teamed up with her sister to form the Cromwell Sisters Duet.  They performed in various USO gatherings during World War II.  Mildred was very active throughout her life.  She worked as an Executive Secretary for Bucks County Community College for 25 years until her retirement and was a member of St. Bede’s parish for 45 years.  She loved playing tennis and traveling with her children.  Her greatest love, beside her family, was music.  She joined her husband’s established choral group, The Robert Ensinger Chorale, when it took on female singers.  She was very involved with selecting and designing the choreography of songs that the Chorale performed for their bi-annual concerts.  She also performed as a soloist as a part of The Limelighters singing group within the Chorale.

Mildred is survived by her children, Carol Parks (Gary), Mary Ellen Sargent (Kevin), Robert A. Ensinger Jr. (Peter Larson); her grandchildren, Samantha (Willy), Sarah, Kameron, Rebecca (Aaron), Robby, Heath, Cassandra and Riley; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Aubrey, Jessica and Calvin.

Mildred’s family will receive family and friends on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service at 11:00am in Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.
