Donna V. Clinger

Donna V. Clinger of Churchville, PA passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at her residence in the presence and loving care of her family. She was 91.

Donna was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Howard P. Clinger who preceded her in passing in 2015.

Born in Centre Hall, PA, Donna was the daughter of the late Fred E. and Sarah Smith Luse, the mother-in-law of the late Joan M. Clinger and the sister of the late Keith D. Luse.

Donna was a resident of Churchville since 1962. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Southampton where she taught 2nd grade Sunday school for over 30 years. Donna would often play the piano for the children at the school on Sunday’s. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star Inc, Lewistown Chapter 283 and also attended the Centre Hall Grange Fair in Centre Hall PA for 90 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed needlepoint and cross-stitching. Many of Donna’s fine crafts to this day have been passed down to family and friends. Throughout the years, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband Howard along with family and friends on cruises, also enjoyed camping and spent quality times at the seashore. Donna will be remembered for her kind gentle touch, her even temperament and her contagious laugh that tickled all. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and by all who came to know and love her.

Donna is survived by her cherished children and their spouses Kathy A. Clinger, Jeffrey H. Clinger and his wife Judith Camacho-Clinger and Karen M. Crawford and her husband Bob. She is also survived by her brother A. Robert Luse and his wife Inez of Centre Hall, PA, her 3 dear grandchildren; Matthew R. Clinger, Philip R. Clinger and Bobby Crawford and her 2 great grandchildren Cayden and Logan. In addition, Donna is survived by Tina Edwards, whom she thought of as one of her children and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on   Monday, February 5, 2024 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Service 11:30AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954.  Donna’s interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
