Marianne Kelly
Marianne Kelly, BSN, RN of Doylestown, PA, joined her parents, James M. and Kathleen Y. Kelly, in God’s arms after fighting complications of heart failure on January 26th, 2024.
Marianne was born September 14th, 1963 to James and Kathleen Kelly in Philadelphia, PA. She was raised in Hatboro, PA, and was a member of Archbishop Wood’s graduating class of 1981.
Marianne will forever be remembered as a loving sister, aunt to 13 nieces and nephews, and great-aunt to 2 great nephews.
She spent her weekends supporting her nieces and nephews in their favorite activities, going to craft fairs, and Sunday dinners with family members. Marianne also loved traveling – especially to Disney World. She most importantly enjoyed spoiling her pets, including Suzie Q, Little Mimi, Sadie, and Henry. She was very proud of her Irish heritage, and was our keeper of family history.
Marianne, a graduate of Episcopal Nursing School, started her career as an emergency department nurse at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, followed by 10 years as an emergency department nurse at Abington Hospital. Most recently, Marianne had been a Senior Project Manager at ICON, a Clinical Research Organization. She could tell stories of what she saw in the ER for days on end.
Marianne was the eldest of 5. She is survived by her siblings, Cathleen Zidek (Kenny) of Warminster, Brian Kelly (Lauren) of Doylestown, Trea Molettiere (Jimmy) of Lansdale, and Liam Kelly (Marybeth) of Pipersville. Marianne is also survived by her nieces and nephews, who adored her more than anything: Melissa (Dan), Kendall, Bridget, Dillon, Mackenzie, Taylor, Delaney, Seamus, Maggie, Anna, Mary Kate, Grace, Cecelia, and great-nephews Brody and Quinn.
Relatives and friends are invited to join her family Saturday, February 3rd, at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:45AM, Mass to follow at 11:00AM. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
In lieu of flowers, Marianne and the family request donations to the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement at Graymoor in Garrison, NY, in memory of Brother Liam Young, S.A.
