Serafina Caserta

Serafina Caserta of Jamison, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2024 surrounded by her family at the age of 91.

She was born on February 29, 1932 in Cantania, Sicily. She was the daughter of the late Alfio and Francesca Toscano.

Survived by four children, Angelo Caserta (Debbie), Alfio Caserta (Betsy), Nina Anello (Joe), and Franca Caserta; five grandchildren, Michael (Maddie), Connor, Sera, Nikki (Nick), and Eric; two great-grandchildren, Leo and Gia; three siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Serafina was a devoted mother to her children. She was always ready to make a plate of homemade delicious pasta; a dippy egg; or a new delicious concoction. Serafina was the doting “Nonna” to her grandchildren with pastina and homemade bread always on hand.  She loved her family; cooking; gardening; sewing; knitting; and playing poker. Serafina adored her furry grandchildren - Charli, Luna and Sunny (My Boo). She was loved by everyone who met her.

She was preceded in death by three of her siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Her interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Serafina’s name can be made to Almost Home Dog Rescue (almosthomedogrescue.rescuegroups.org) in honor of Charli.
