Carmen Anthony Cavalli

Carmen Anthony Cavalli, age 86, of Warminster, PA, son of Carmen and Sarah (Chero) Cavalli; husband of Fritzi Cavalli, passed away on March 20th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

He proudly attended Saint Thomas More High School, lettering in three sports, and continued his education and football career at the University of Richmond (Spiders). He famously reminded his many friends, “I’m a Spider born and bred, and when I die, I’ll be a Spider dead.”  He was a charter member and defensive end for the American Football League Oakland Raiders in 1960; “Once a Raider, Always a Raider”.  After playing and coaching football for the Wheeling Ironmen, Philadelphia Bulldogs, and Pottstown Firebirds, Carmen began a career in the beverage business. His dream of owning his own bar and restaurant became a reality in October,1979. Owning and operating Carmen’s Place lead he and Fritzi to develop many lifelong friends who quickly became family.

Carmen enjoyed visiting and traveling with family from Nashville and Australia, spending time with his many dear friends at Ann’s Choice and entertaining each and every person his life touched with stories and songs. He was an avid sports fan who loved talking sports with friends and family. He will always be his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s #1 fan.

Carmen will always be #85 in the program, #1 in our hearts.

He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, his sister, Janet Silgato, and his grandson, Timmie McGowan.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years; his daughters Cheri McGowan, Cindi McAllister (Andy), and Carri Rossi; grandchildren Emily (David), Joey (Vivian), Jake, Luke, Maddi, and Tony; great-grandchildren McKinzley, David, and Carmen Dowling, and Fritzilou Mills; his brother, Tommy Cavalli, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by Tim McGowan, and so many other friends that are part of the family.

There will be a visitation for Carmen on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 9:30-11:00am at Nativity of our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster, PA with a Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 am.
