John G. Riva

John G. Riva, of Warminster, PA died with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. “Jack” was 92.

Jack was the beloved husband of 64 years to Agnes “Maggie” Walsh Riva. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Mary M. Steinmacher Riva.

Jack was raised and educated through high school in New York City. He was a 1954 graduate of Notre Dame University. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for two years. Thereafter, Jack was employed for thirty-three years, as an accountant for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey located in the World Trade Center.

Jack met Maggie, the love of his life, at work. They married in 1959 and had three children. Jack embodied traditional Christian family values. He was a wonderful role model and incredibly devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Jack was a self-taught woodworker. He enjoyed making furniture and engaging in various home repair projects. He was generous with his time, talents and resources. On a humorous note, his children attest that Jack was a procurer of the ugliest cars in the parking lot.

In addition to his beloved wife, Maggie, he is survived by his three children, John Douglas Riva and his wife Nancy of Buckingham, Catherine Riva of Yardley, PA and Robert M. Riva of Ewing, NJ. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Brent, Kaitlyn Manning (husband Drew), Eric, Matthew, Michael, Christopher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:30am until his Funeral Mass 11:30am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. His interment will be held privately by the family at a later date in Harbourton Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
