Eileen L. Stitz (Lagan)
Eileen L. Stitz of Washington Crossing, PA died peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was 69.
Eileen was the beloved wife of 39 years to Mark Stitz.
Born Eileen Francis Lagan in Wynnewood, PA she was the daughter of the late Edward Francis Lagan and Joanne Mae Ansman Lagan and the sister of the late Elizabeth Martin.
Eileen was raised in Oreland, PA and attended Queen of Peace School (1968), Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School (1972) and The Pennsylvania State University (1976). She was active in Girl Scouts, was a troop leader organizing camping trips and was a summer lifeguard at Echo Farm Campground. Before retiring, she worked at REM Mechanical, Tel-Stock, Inc., Crossing Construction Company, Inc., Crossing Cooperative Nursery School, and The Inn at Lambertville Station.
In addition to her beloved husband Mark, Eileen is survived by her loving and devoted children Edward Stitz and his wife Ashley of New Hope and Megan Stitz and her husband Michael Mikulla of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her adoring granddaughter Riley Jade Stitz, her brothers James Lagan (Joanne) and Thomas Lagan (Jane), her brothers-in-law Robert Martin, David Stitz (Sherry) and Paul Stitz, step-mother Rosemary Neely Lagan, step-sisters Kathleen Neely (Larry Barbee), Patricia Neely (Don Wallace), Michelle Neely and Lisa Neely (Rich Goloveyko) and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services and interment for Eileen will be private.
