Edward R. Gudknecht

Edward R. Gudknecht died unexpectedly Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home in Churchville, PA. He was 54 years old.

Born in Doylestown, PA, Eddie was the only son of the late Edward R and Elizabeth Trotman Gudknecht.

Eddie was the beloved husband of Diana M Ridge Gudknecht. The couple shared over 28 years of love, fond memories and family.

In addition to his wife Diana, Eddie will be missed by his daughters, Lauren M Gudknecht and Grace E Gudknecht.

Eddie had a love for the Boston Bruins hockey team, being outdoors, creating his beautiful woodwork, as well as photography. He enjoyed going to the park with his family, walking the trails together, or just sitting there by the water. He had a love for the American Pickers, Ghost Adventures, Gold Rush and The Curse of Oak Island. Eddie would dance the night away any given time, especially when the Bee Gees came on.

Eddie was a hard worker, devoted husband and father, and loyal to all of those around him. Eddie was dedicated to his job, and always talked highly about within his field of work. His dog Zoey was his best friend who stayed in his office by his side while he was working, and was his favorite to go on walks with in the early mornings.

Eddie will be missed by his sisters, Carol Gomeringer, Joan Finno (late husband John Finno), Sally Carr and Diane Bauman. Eddie is also survived by his mother and father in-law, Mary and Norman Ridge, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Edward’s family on Monday, May 20th, from 4:00pm until the time of his service, 7:00pm, at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Road in Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will take place privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SPCA, at PO Box 277 in Lahaska, PA 18931, as Eddie had a love for animals.
