Dolores "Dee" J. Myers (Skibiski)

Dolores Jean (Skibiski) Myers passed away peacefully on May 10, 2024 at age 73 in the loving arms of her daughters. She was welcomed into heaven by her late husband Erskine "Ralph" Myers and her daughter Jocelyn Rachel Myers. She was also greeted in heaven by her siblings Sandra, Bernadette, JoAnne and George "Butch".

Born on October 5, 1950 Dolores grew up in Tallmadge, Ohio. She met her husband Ralph at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio, and they were married in 1970. Together in marriage for 51 years, Dolores and Ralph built a beautiful life together raising three daughters in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  Dolores earned a degree in Special Education from La Salle University. She poured her heart and soul into improving the lives of those around her. She had a passion for helping others and being a hero for her own children and her students.

As a devoted stay-at-home mother for many years, she gave her daughters endless support, celebrating their every achievement, and providing them with many great experiences and opportunities. When her daughters were older, she resumed her career as an educator at Easterseals in Levittown, Pa and then at Philadelphia Academy Charter School, where she was adored by her students and colleagues.

Dolores enjoyed making crafts, reading books, traveling with her family and going out for ice cream on summer nights. She possessed a vibrant energy and was always moving and busy, working tirelessly to champion the underdogs. She was civic minded and always wanted to do what was right and just.  She lived her life with courage, grit and humor and was an inspiration to all.

Dolores is survived by her daughters Jessica Myers and her partner Vytas Viesulas of Quakertown and Melissa "Bodhi" Myers of Bensalem along with her three grandchildren Silas, Leilani and Ozlyn Myers and many nieces, nephews and wonderful lifelong friends.
