Dorothy M. Brennan

Dorothy M. Brennan, lovingly known as Dottie, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Churchville, PA on August 31, 2024, at the age of 94. She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Brennan, Sr. 

Dottie is survived by her seven children; James F. Jr. (Maureen), Kathy (Tom), Terry (Pam), Patty (Grady), Colleen (Bill, deceased), Connie (Roy), and Barbara, grandchildren; Ian, Brit, Amy (deceased), Jaclyn, Erin, Kelsey, Ross, Haley, Daniel, Jenna, Katie, Anna, Matthew, and great-grandchildren; Jamie and Cassidy. She is also survived by her sister, Joan, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Dottie was a graduate of Little Flower High School, in Philadelphia.  She became a Registered Dietitian after attending school in Manhattan. Dottie and Jim raised their family in Trevose, PA before retiring to Bonita Springs, Florida. She instilled in all her children a deep commitment to helping others and supporting one’s community and was a long-time member of the Trevose Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, as well as an active member in multiple community projects throughout her life.  Dottie loved to travel, exploring several continents with Jim. She led water aerobics in her community pool up to this year. She enjoyed playing cards and games, but most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  

Dottie’s loving spirit will be deeply missed by her entire extended family and all who knew her. She was an inspiration to her family and friends on how to live life to the fullest.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, September 4th from 1pm-2pm at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA. A funeral mass will follow. Interment will take place on Thursday, September 5th at 10am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA.
