Anna K. Decher (Gallik)

Anna K. Decher, of Langhorne, PA died on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Chandler Hall Hospice with her family by her side. She was 69.

She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Manfred “Fred” Decher.

Born in Yugoslavia, she was the daughter of John and Eva Bahnweg Gallik of Philadelphia.

At a very young age, Anna with her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Philadelphia. She was a 1962 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and then went on to Gwynedd Mercy College where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1966. Gifted at math Anna used her skills as a teacher for over 35 years. She began her career at Archbishop Wood and then went to Gloucester Catholic High School before settling in at Father Judge High School where she was for over 20 years, retiring in 2003. Throughout her career, Anna continued her education continually making herself better, ultimately earning enough credits to receive a Master’s Degree.

Her family was paramount, and nothing was more important to her then being a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter and the best big sister anyone could want. Anna was well rounded and enjoyed many things; knitting, reading, spending time with her husband, computers, traveling and tutoring Algebra. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren who will miss her greatly.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children Michael and Kimberly Decher of Doylestown and Diana Decher of Langhorne and her sister Kathy and Mark Falcone of Newtown. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren; Rebeka, Melissa, and Coulton,her nieces Teresa Harris and her husband Jason, Erika Priori and her husband Adam, Maria Wimmers and her husband Eric, and Christina Falcone, her nephew John Falcone and his wife Christine and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00 am at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Her interment will be held privately.
