Robert A. Ensinger

Robert A. Ensinger of Holland, PA died Monday, December 9, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hazleton Hospital in Hazleton, PA. He was 91.

Robert was the beloved husband of 65 years to Mildred M. Cromwell Ensinger.

Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Albert and Louise Fleece Ensinger and the father of the late Stephen L. Ensinger and the grandfather of the late Stephen J. Ensinger.

Robert was a former resident of Richboro and was a resident of Holland for over 45 years. He was a former Communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland and was a veteran of the US Army. Robert was a graduate of Temple University where he received his degree in Communications and also attended the Curtis Institute of Music where he studied voice. Robert had a distinguished career as an Advertising Executive where he had worked with Ted Thomas Associates in Philadelphia.  He eventually founded his own business, Robert Ensinger Advertising, until his retirement. His passion for music inspired him to begin the Robert Ensinger Chorale where he entertained many for over 40 years. His memorable performances included Christmas and Spring Concerts and performing in Philadelphia and New York including appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show and Al Alberts Showcase.  Robert enjoyed traveling with his family including visits to Europe and cruises throughout the Caribbean. He will be truly missed by cherished family and by all who came to know and love him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mildred, Robert is survived by his children; Robert A. Ensinger, Jr. and his husband Peter Larson of Falls Church, VA, Carol I. Parks and her husband Gary of Mountain Top, PA, and Mary Ellen Sargent and her husband Kevin of Abington.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Kameron, Rebecca, Samantha, Sarah, Cassandra, Riley, Heath and Robby and his 3 great granddaughters Emily, Aubrey and Jessie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass at 11:30am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966. Robert’s interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
