Edwin Alfred Gibbs

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edwin (Ed) Gibbs of Holland, PA who died peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the age of 80.                                                       
Ed is survived by his wife Grazyna Makgorzata Gibbs, his son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Kristin Gibbs, his son Travis Gibbs and his step-daughter Kashka Orlow. He is also survived by his sister Marjorie (Midge) Embleton, his grandchildren Nicholas and Allie Gibbs and Kada and Emma Orlow, and his niece and nephew Michael and Suzanne Embleton and their respective families.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Edwin W. and Majorie A. (Woelfle) Gibbs, Ed grew up in Bronx, NY and Bergenfield, NJ. He graduated from Bergenfield High School and served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He later graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and began a career as a tax accountant, working for companies including E.J. Korvette and Corning Clinical Laboratories. When Ed retired from accounting, he served as a bus driver in Burlington, VT and Las Vegas, NV. He closed out his career bringing joy and laughter to the kids of Bucks County, PA as a school bus driver and monitor.  Ed enjoyed spending his free time listening to jazz and Frank Sinatra and watching sports, especially the Olympics and his beloved Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Jets and New York Knicks. He also loved to cook and spend time with his family and many pets, whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 12:00PM until his Funeral Service at 1:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment with Military Funeral Honors will directly follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.
