Lucille McKee (Drioli)
Lucille Drioli McKee, died Monday, November 28, at Jefferson Health-Bucks in Langhorne, PA. She was 77 years old.
Lucille was the beloved wife of Robert “Bruce” McKee Sr. The couple had been married for 53 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Antonette Colonna Drioli. She was the sister of the late Dominic Drioli.
In addition to her husband Bruce, Lucille will be missed by her children, Jessica Cuttita and her husband Michael, Devon Kisgen and her husband James, and Robert Bruce Jr. and his wife Kristin; and her eight grandchildren. Lucille is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Carol Drioli; and Joe and Patricia Drioli.
She was a dedicated, doting mother and wife. Growing up in her house, every day started with a hot breakfast and ended with a kiss on the forehead. She created a wonderful loving home in which we all thrived. She was thoughtful and understanding, but most of all selfless. She was always more concerned about her family than herself. She was also an incredibly positive person that would shine a light on your darkest days and provide a friendly smile to everyone. The phone conversations, family vacations, and time spent in the kitchen will be missed. She was always trying to devise a plan to sneak off to a show or for a trip to Disney. She took so much pleasure in our shopping trips, lunches with margaritas, the Philadelphia Eagles, tennis matches with family and friends, holidays, and cheering on her grandchildren. She loved to dance. She was an amazing cook.
The McKee family may have lost our biggest cheerleader, but we have gained a guardian angel. She was always praying for us, and in the end her words soon turned to "pray for me". Unfortunately her prayers for us were stronger than ours for her. She meant the world to us. She will be looking down on us from heaven with a watchful eye. We are so thankful for the time we had together, and will be eternally grateful for all she has done. We will never forget her and will honor her forever. Goodbye our sweet beautiful wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Sweet dreams, pleasant dreams, may God bless you, and we love you.
