Mary Beth Whitney

Mary Beth Whitney of New Hope, PA died from an illness surrounded by family on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Jefferson Abington Hospital.  She was 55.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey Mary Beth was the beloved daughter of Harry F. Conover, Jr. and Mary Ann Schwab Conover and the wife of Charles Whitney M.D.

Mary Beth loved God, loved to have fun, and had a big heart!

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Beth is survived by her devoted children and their spouses: Matthew Vroegindewey and Nicole of Sparta, NJ, Haley Whitney and Isla Carruthers of Oreland, PA, Kirsten Whitney of Cherry Hill, NJ, Jacqueline Whitney and her fiancé Matt Williams of Haddonfield, NJ, and Luke Whitney of New Hope.  She is also survived by her sisters Cheryl L. Missimer (John) and Corinne L. Gokcen (Eric), her brother Rick Conover (Wendy), as well as 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Beth’s family would like to invite anyone whose life she touched to a celebration of her life this summer.  Details will be announced through social media and her obituary. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Bethany Christian Services (please apply gift to adoption) National Alliance on Mental Illness- Bucks County, or Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child
