Condolences for Daniel "Larry" Laurence Rubini

LYNN ASCHENDORFThursday, January 4th

Joan & family: I had the pleasure of working for Judge Rubini when he was at the Elkins Park office of Social Security. He was very fair to the claimants and of course, followed the guidelines set by the Administration.
I had the pleasure of attending a Memorial Day ceremony that he conducted in Buck County, Pa. Of course, he will be missed.

When I retired from the Navy and got involved in Veterans services and support Larry was one of the first folks I met. A man of grace courage and honor. A true Patriot and warrior who served his nation with dignity and excellence in all he did. He was the best of us. Our nation is lesser today in his passing. Well done indeed good and faithful servant. And I thank him for showing a Sailor no less the ropes of service. Fair winds and following seas my friend. Until we meet again.

To Joan and Family--
We were so sad to learn of Larry's passing. I remember you all so well from the days when you were next door neighbors and friends in Newtown.

More recently, when you moved to Ann's Choice, Ami and I were happy to get to know you as fellow residents. Our shared dinners and friendship were important to us. We will miss Larry very much, but we want to reach out to you, Joan. Both of us have experienced loss like yours.

Larry's devotion to his country and veteran's issues is exemplary. His family must be very proud.

Susan and Ami

Judge Larry Rubini has made a difference in so many lives. I had the pleasure of meeting Judge Rubini in Baghdad, Iraq in 2003, it was an honour to work with him at the Ministry of Justice. He had the kindest heart and was one of the most empathetic people I have ever met. I’m honoured to have known such a great man.

Sending our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to his family and loved ones.

God bless you & your family

We are truly saddened by the loss of such a special person. The Colonel was so very proud of his family. Joan was always the Colonel's side kick when traveling; the Colonel would light up when talking about his sons and their families and of course the Colonel was a true patriot. Our hearts ache for the entire family at this time. We send our love, thoughts and prayers to you all.

My deepest sympathy to the Rubini family. I recently discovered the passing of Judge Rubini and was very sad to hear. I worked with Judge Rubini in the Green Zone Ministry of Justice in 2004 and always found him to be very supportive and always helpful in sharing his vast professional knowledge and I always considered him a close friend. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and worked with him.
