Condolences for Donna L. Hoffmayer (Sands)

Janet GetzThursday, February 1st

I first met Donna at Thomas Creighton school, seventh grade. She was a very kind, friendly girl. We continued a friendship tthrough high school at Olney HS. We got together a few times with a group of classmates for lunch at Peddlers Village and the Buck Hotel. Always enjoyed her company. Donna will surely be missed by all.
Rest In Peace🙏

Paul,

The memorial tribute video your daughters put together was beautiful and thought provoking. Reminding us of the brevity of our time here. Having just gotten here as pilgrims and strangers, we are only passing through and none of us are staying long.
Only the life well-lived for Jesus makes it worth it all. May the Lord assuage your grief, leaving only cherished memories with the blessed hope of resurrection & reunion with Donna in God's own presence forevermore.

Your Brother in Jesus,
Jim T.

Donna and I were friends since high school. We were both in the Distributive Education program and traveled afternoons to center city Philadelphia, where we worked at John Wanamaker's. We took the train and had lunch in town before work. One of my favorite memories was the toasted pound cake with chocolate ice cream which was our regular lunchtime dessert!
Donna was a wonderful friend and over the many years, even though we didn't see each other often, we would catch up over the phone and always picked up right where we left off.
She was a special friend and will be missed greatly. I have peace knowing she is with the Lord. Her amazing faith was always a source of comfort to me. Love you Donna!!
