My heart and prayers go out to all of Joanne's family for your loss. She and I worked together in CSD, where she was an amazing, talented, dedicated, compassionate educator who loved children and especially teaching them to read. She also was a dear friend-- fun-loving, caring, and beautiful, inside and out. Joanne will be greatly missed and her memory cherished always. May God comfort you all with His peace, grace and love at this difficult time.

I just learned of Joanne's passing this morning, and I'm deeply saddened!
I knew Joanne as a reading specialist at the Longstreth School in Centennial School District. She was one of the most organized and talented teachers I encountered in my 50 years in education. It was alway a pleasure to visit her classroom and watch her work her magic with her students, although she was so organized she put me to shame.
Longstreth School was a wonderful place with a very talented staff, but Joanne was one of the stars that made Longstreth so special. Our children were about the same ages which gave us things to talk about other than school. I heard many proud stories about Michael and Brian, and was always asked to share stories about my children.
Joanne was a wonderful person! May she rest in peace.
