Condolences for Vincent M. Donovan

P.J. ByrneMonday, March 6th

My most heartfelt and sincere condolences to the entire Donovan family. I have so many find memories of Mr. & Mrs. Donovan, I honestly wouldn’t know where to begin. Their was so much love and, sense of family in their home, it’s hard to think of a place where one felt more part of the clan. I take solace knowing that Mr. D is back with his beloved wife. I’m sure that he is at peace with this beautiful lady.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam, Mr. D.
RIP

I sit here thinking about Vince and how much of a great man he was. I spoke with him on Friday afternoon at work. It is people like Vince that made working a Lakeview a great place. I will truly miss him.

Hi, Vince’s name just came to mind and I thought I would try to Google him. Sadly, I just read his obituary and because of my fondness for him, I just thought I would send a note to whatever family member may be a recipient. Hi, In the early 1960s Vince & I worked in the same Church St. office for Univac. He as branch manager for field engineering and me as a fledgling new Univac salesman. Vince, was very very special. So bright and such a great sense of humor. I’m not In any way surprised at his achievements within the organization. Quite coincidentally, Vince and I were together for lunch at the same time JFK was shot, neither of us believing he would die. Vince left a very positive mark on me, in a mentor sort of way, but we lost touch when he got promoted out of the branch some 60 years ago. His passing leaves me sad. My best wishes to the family, Ed
